Daree Imports
Services Provided: Product Packaging Translation, proofreading, and review KSL has teamed up with Daree Imports to translate packaging copy into French and according to Canadian labelling guidelines. This is just one example from Witchcraft Cosmetics. Our niche experience in the cosmetics industry helped to capture the fun and lively spirit of these pieces. Applying a high level of care and project management ensured the projects were done right. Translating small phrases or single words out of context can be tricky. One mistake can have costly consequences. We ask many questions up front to get the information right.
Balsillie School of International Affairs – The Armageddon Letters project
Services provided: Translation and subtitling KSL partnered with the creators of the Armageddon Letters multimedia team at the Balsillie School of International Affairs to add subtitles to their short animated films on the Cuban Missile Crisis and the dangers of nuclear warfare. The subtitles had to be easy to read and coincide perfectly with the timing of the film. All captions had to meet ADA requirements.
Moxie’s Bar and Grill
Services provided: Translation, proofreading and peer review Moxie’s Bar and Grill turned to KSLinguistics when preparing to launch in the province of Quebec. Our work touched on all aspect of the business from front of house training manuals to culinary techniques and menus. This project is a perfect example of adapting the copy for the culture and language of the Quebec market. It also required researching and understanding the proper translation and use of culinary and service industry terminology. Our proofreading services ensured consistent translation and flow of translated material from other sources.
Sun Life Financial
Services provided: Translation and revision
We work with a number of insurance companies, and other financial institutions, including Sun Life Financial, to translate financial terminology and internal training materials for agents and employees. Internal training and financial materials present unique challenges, as it is crucial to maintain the industry’s internal language and ensure the message is clearly understood, friendly, and representative of the internal culture of the company.
